MISSION (From Group A to respond to with comments) The purpose of UNM’s cultural leadership through creative social action ______ (program) is to cultivate a flourishing society of creative change-makers. These agents of innovation come from varied disciplines and contribute their own skills and points of view to work in tandem with their peers, mentors/professionals, and community partners to germinate new ideas (engaged projects, action...) for tackling real world problems.
Program Mission: The Arts Leadership Program engages students in growing field of socially conscious art. Whether it is a topic of community, sustainability, social justice, or et cetera the Arts Leadership Program guides students using project based learning and fine arts discourse. By focusing on research, engagement, and dissemination ALP is creating leaders of culture, social action, and creativity.
